Volume Five: Troy Monroe

Caught by surprise and down a companion, the kids don't get much time to cry about it. The Hageshoni are wasting no time in making a return trip and Kendrick is determined to interfere somehow. In the wake of it all, the survivors come to terms with who they're becoming, who they're working for and who they're fighting against. All come to different conclusions, leading one to do something that will shock everybody. Volume 5: Troy Monroe begins!

...That summary makes it sound like we're in for more casualties. I'm thinking maybe Marie, especially after this first installment. Anyways, a good (if somber) start so far.

Man, when Volume 4 ended, October 14 seemed so far away! And now we're already seven sessions in!

But now that volume five is on track, I can't help but feel somber after reading it and seeing how everyone's dealing with the situation. Donovan's changed...slightly.

So, Hokoni do have last names. Are we ever going to learn Kendrick's?

Almost all the main characters have a last name. I saw to that when I last revised my master character sheet. I haven't completely finished giving everybody a last name, but it's mostly episodic characters like the Chioni trio.

Since you asked, I'll share some of the full names that either don't get revealed or are mentioned once in passing:

Holy crap that is an astounding coincidence. Fact is, Matt (kerrian) came up with the name Uriel, which I had never heard used as a first name until then. During the tribunal, I wanted to compliment his semi-exotic first name with a bland last name, so I picked Jones out of the blue.

I never imagined that somebody important would actually share that name, especially since few of the primary characters share a name with anyone particularly significant. Still, given how much Uriel hates being referred to by his full name, it actually works quite nicely.

But Sho had better get what's coming to him too. Maybe not quite like this- we can't have the kids get too bloody too quickly- though life in the MST kind of carries that risk- holy SHIT!
